As I was reading this article, all I could think was about was The Lincoln Project and 'The Bulwark'. It's actually pretty sad that those people are so blinded by their politics that they can't see they are the mark. But I guess that's what happens after living and working for decades around politics and politicians in DC. Basically your politics becomes your sole reason for existence.

One correction, had 1/2 those Biden votes gone to Trump, I have no doubt that there would have just been more thumb drives or boxes of ballots marked Biden appearing in the middle of the night.

I'm reminded of William Burroughs: "Hustlers of the world, beware: There is one mark you cannot escape. The mark inside."

The thing missed in this “analysis” is that Trump is a morally reprehensible person who was a registered Democrat well into his 60s. A true RINO. His actions since the 2020 election is disqualifying. End of story.

'...had half of 43,000 votes combined in AZ, WI, and GA gone the other way...'

Had half those votes gone the other way, more votes would have had to have been manufactured. We were all there election night; we saw what happened.

"If Trump is indicted for politics it suggests that the DOJ is out to get him, so how can one also claim he brought it upon himself? It's either or. It makes no sense to be both."

Straw man and false choice ... Trump was indicted because he refused to give back classified documents, after being given multiple opportunities to do so. He also stated emphatically on a recording that he could have declassified the documents but did not, thereby further incriminating himself. Yes, the indictment is politically motivated, and that will no doubt be brought up at trial, but Trump needlessly stepped in this pile.

Some very good points but also a ton of red herrings and Obamaesque sofistry. Look, I voted for Trump twice and would do it again if need be. I have no use for the RINOs or squishes who fight Trump harder than Biden and the left . (The Dispatch crowd in particular.) But…

At this point, we can and must do better, as we can’t afford to give the left four more years of the White House. DeSantis is even more solid as a conservative than Trump and would fight even harder for our policies. We would have him for eight years and he is free of the judicial entanglements that will consume Trump. I want to win dammit, not be a martyr.
